Hey friends.
The elections and polling has officially begun! You’ve heard our intros (Meh, 30 seconds long but better than nothing, right? (: ) and got a chance to pick our brains on council related matters during the Q & A. Hopefully that helped you decide on whether or not we’re worth your vote!
Well, if you’re STILL deliberating, that’s okay. (: Hang around a little longer and hopefully we can convince you by 27th of March yeah?
SO, here’s a little guide on how to cast a vote for your choices!
Step 1: http://students.tjc.edu.sg/students/elections.asp?ID=2
Click the web link above (yes, the blue little line
can’t miss it!) And then you’ll arrive at a login page.
Login with your NRIC/FIN, and you’ll arrive at a page with the instructions!
Step 2: Check the boxes beside the nominee codes and photographs of the people you want to vote for. (A10 and D09!!)
Scroll back up, and select ‘Vote selected Nominees’. (:
No internet connection at home? ALTERNATIVELY, you could vote via SMS!
For SMS voting,
send the message in the following format to the College SMS Server Number 9177 7790:
VOTE SC Nominee_Code_1 Nominee_Code_2 Nominee_Code_3 …
Eg: VOTE SC A01 B02 G03 D04
Everyone is allowed to a total of 20 votes, regardless of the houses of the nominees. Vote wisely and for ALPHA 10 (sendy) and DELTA 9 (melanie lim shu ying!) (:
Our fate lies in your hands now; no, I’m totally serious.
ANOTHER VIDEO! (:
Why? Because you deserve it. (:
Sendy says hello:
Hi TJCians! Sendy here to share with all of you a little bit more of myself than what Melanie have shared with you in the video. Haha.. well basically, I come from Gan Eng Seng School (it’s located in Tiong Bahru, check out the MRT map haha). I was the Head Prefect, as well as the schools’ first President of Students’ Council then. I came to TJC by DSA through leadership. In the end I found out that I was the only one to come to TJC from my school, well depending on the perspective you see it, it may be a good or a bad thing.. Haha, to me it was a good thing as I then dared myself to go and make even more friends in TJC!..
Since then, I made lots and lots of friends, especially when I got into the Students’ Council Internship Programme! As the Vice-chairman of the SCIP, I have not only experience what it was like to be in the Students’ Council but also learn a lot to improve on my leadership skills! What’s more, my interaction with the OGLs of the orientation 2 had taught me invaluable communication and people-relation skills!
Well.. TJC has been a nice place to be in as it contains all the friendly people.. which is you!! That’s why I would like to be a councilor to listen to your voices in order to help make TJ an even better place to be in!

Mel shares:
Hi friends and to-be-friends!
For those who didn’t get the chance to see me in the pleated maroon skirt, I’m from Bukit Panjang Govt High School. (that was a mouthful.) I was somehow always the ‘Emcee Girl’. I bet they just wanted my voice hahaha. But rehearsing for lines, keeping your smile up on stage, enduring hours of practice for speeches… Easy? boy, was I proven so wrong. Despite that, I think, through the countless hours of drilling, I found a passion for speaking.
- similarly, my experience as the Chairperson of the Students’ Council Internship Program helped me discover things about myself and others. Personally, every time I hear people talking about Orientation 2, even if it’s just a passing by thought, it can cause my heart to leap or die a little inside. It’s kinda funny, really. It’s that feeling that what you’re doing, is for something so much more significant than your entirety, that awes me and inspires me to be the voice of others. So here’s my word, you have my passion, purpose and drive to listen and voice out; but in the end, it’s your decision on who you wanna give that opportunity to be inspired and awed. I’ll just cross my fingers and hope it’s me. (:

WE say:
Bet you didn’t know that about us huhhh. (: Some of us may not have a surname/ an angelic voice, but here’s what our hearts say. (: We’ll be having our official introductions with the rest of the nominees on this coming Wednesday (19/03) during Civics and Contact Time! Hope you’ll drop by and catch us in action
PS: Voting will start after that! *hint hint* VOTE FOR SENDY (ALPHA 10) and MELANIE (DELTA 09) *big hint big hint*
Hello friends!
Thanks for hitting the counter to 102! You will not imagine how estatic I was when I saw that; totally made my day. (:
Mel’s random thought of the day: Having cereal is like digging underwater for a treasure box. Finding cornflakes under the murky waters (due to chocolate bits la!), is like finding Kryptonite- only better. Because you get to eat it. (:
Just a quick note: Happy March Holidays, people! Finally, the long awaited holiday is here. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got loads of things planned for the week (including mugging -_-, cookouts with friends, movies.. so much more!)
So here’s wishing you a Miraculous March Holidays!
Remember to take care and make note to do something for yourself this week. (you know, that little shopping trip/go-karting experience/kite flying trip/whatever you’ve been putting of? YES, that. (: treat yourself. It’s worth it.)
Meanwhile, we’ll be updating random stuff to keep you company (: Hold on for more videos
:D *hint hint*
Melanie!
Delta 09.

Anyway, I’m Melanie (DELTA 9) from 28/08. One of the two people whom you’ll be hearing from on this blog!
The other guy is Sendy (ALPHA 10) from 17/08. (:
If our names ring any bells at all, it may because we were EXCO members from SCIP 08. (: Anyway, look out for more fun facts about who we are in this specially prepared video below!
